Today I was reminded of why I hate volleyball
1. By the time we were done playing, my arms were redder than my red shirt.
2. I cant spike.
3. I can't overhand serve, only underhand on occasion (embarrassing)
4. I never go for the obvious balls I'm supposed to.
5. Did I mention it hurts my arms so much? Noone else (even newbs) seem to ever get arms as red as mine.
I know I don't like volleyball, but I always am convinced to play and always regret it.

Nicaragua. I don't even know where Nicaragua is. My sister is traveling with her boyfriend and family to Nicaragua for Thanksgiving and surfing.

Okay. Nicaragua is in Central America, south of Mexico.
I did some quick research and heres some facts about Nicaragua
-It's official name is the Republic of Nicaragua
-It will be hot there, Nicaragua has a year round average temperature of 82 degrees
-GOOD NEWS: Nicaragua has the lowest crime rate in Central America
-86 of the 88 constellations can be seen in Nicaragua
-swordfish longer than 16 feet have been caught in Lake Nicaragua
-There are no numeric addresses in Nicaragua, landmarks are used
-Nicaragua houses the only freshwater sharks in the world
-The main religion in Nicaragua is Catholicism
Caitlin, Gray, Sam, Cameron, and Mr. and Mrs. Elliott, have a blast in Nicaragua.

feasting.

Incase you didn't already guess, the theme of my day is Feasting.
Today I went to 2 thanksgiving feasts. praise jesus.
I feel like I won't be able to eat for weeks. but we all know I'm already wondering what I'll have for lunch tomorrow.
My favorite Thanksgiving Dishes:
-corn casserole
-green beans
-corn
-rolls and honey butter (YES)
-mac and cheese of course
-our family makes this pineapple/cheese/ritz cracker casserole that is So good.
-pumpkin pie is a given
-green bean casserole on occasion (if its not yucky watery looking)
-Potatoes
-mashed potatoes

I love thanksgiving feasts.
My favorite part of this upcoming week is how thankful everyone is. And also after thanksgiving everyone will start getting filled with CHRISTMAS cheer. super pumped for those good spirits! and to decorate for christmas!
My other favorite part about thanksgiving (I have many) is when everyone's sitting around the table and you go around the table and everyone has to say what they're thankful for. Goodtimes.
OH YEAH how could I forget Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?! (especially when Santa kicks off the Christmas season at the end)
Thanksgiving Blessings to all.

RELAXATION

Relaxation. That is the theme of my day today.
For the majority of it, I laid in my bed all day long and watched tv and movies. I kicked everyone out of my room, wore my compression shorts and buttonup camo (Favorite outfit)
I watched who knows how many episodes of the office. I'm obsessed. and discovered Hey arnold is on my free netflix. great day. Also, I watched the Secret Garden, which makes me want to go outside and explore. unfortunately its now dark out.
GREAT NEWS. there is this kid on campus who I see alot. I call him "the cowboy" it was one of my goals to meet him. Today at lunch, I turned around and there he was, in his cowboy boots and hat and huge belt buckle. Looks like Kenny Chesney. So I forced myself to go say hey and great news were gonna become bestfriends. He loves Jesus (he prayed before his meal) and his name is doug and I told him that eversense I saw him wearing an American Flag patch on his shirt one day I knew we were gonna be pals.
I need to stop snacking. Its getting to me.
I also have alot of things to do tomorrow. Sir Lancelot (my fish) still needs his water cleaned. and i still have homework out the wazoo.
This picture is the story of my life today.

All-Nighter

So tonight my roommate is sick and her mom came to pick her up, they're staying in a hotel. I had small group tonight so I didn't get back until late. But the bad news is I have an exam tomorrow morning. 8 am. biology. Decided to put off studying for awhile.
I got started on this craft I've been wanting to do for so long. With thanksgiving less than a week away, I've been wanting to make hand turkeys. It's a classic thanksgiving activity. I decided a few days ago I would make them for all of my friends and write on the back why I'm thankful for them. Simple task.
You see I was hyper, I had coffee. 2 cups. at night. bad idea for me.
I first ran around my dorm, I made a thank you sign for the janitor lady in our building, Gloria, letting her know we are grateful. Then I added my own contributions to the "what are you thankful for?" poster in our lobby  (Avatar, Pocahontas, Gloria, easy mac, grilled cheese, nutella, USA, North Carolina, socks, kittens, temporary tatoos, cookies, etc.) Then I convinced my neighbor Ellen to get started on these turkeys with me. Oh the turkeys. They took so long. we made almost 20 of them! they're intense. People better be grateful. They even have googly eyes!
After Ellen left for the night was when I decided officially to pull this all-nighter. I have so many activities that need to be done so of course I'm taking advantage of having the room to myself to do everything I need to get done. On the to do list:
-create a blog (something I've been trying to do for a long time)
-change my fish's water (its REAL dirty)
-study for biology
-watch the office (I'm on season four)
-write a letter to my best friend
-disinfect the room with wipes
maybe eat some easy mac as well? and possibly take a "nap"
haha Who knows what will go down in 622 tonight. I only have 3 hours and 20 minutes until the exam. great. time is flying by.
Tomorrow this is gonna catch up to me. but totally worth it. I have to get all this done.
My inspiration of tonight:
